Ivana Polláková
God was making Himself known to Ivana since her childhood through a Bible for children, Sunday school, and religion classes. However, it took her several years to start following Christ. While in high school, she started realizing clearly how much God did for her and what it cost Him, which created a desire in her heart to serve Him. She started attending her local church in Bardejov and then was exposed to the local youth group. There, she had a great opportunity to grow in Christ and learned how to serve him.
Youth work sunk deep into Ivana’s DNA and has been part of her life ever since. She has served in local youth ministry, small groups, at the Slovak Conference for Youth Leaders (KPM), at English KECY camps, and at EDGE sports camps. Even as a volunteer, while studying English and Lutheran Religion, or as a part of her 7-year teaching position at a high school in Tisovec, Ivana has not forgotten her calling.
Now, Ivana has been called to full-time ministry and joined the Josiah Venture Slovakia team in 2019. She is going to coordinate KPM and continue serving in the youth ministry of her local church in Bardejov.
