Alexandru Herghelegiu
Alexandru grew up in a Christian family of ministry workers with biblical values. He always wanted to serve God in the church, but didn't know how. Not until the age of 17, when Christ revealed Himself personally, and from that moment, his passion for leading young people to Christ began.
Growing up, he always had a passion for sports and an inclination towards the visual arts. As a result, he started studying at the University of Architecture in Bucharest, which he will graduate from this summer. During these six years of studies, he began volunteering with Josiah Venture (JV) Edge Sports in Dobrogea, in a town called Medgidia, where he got involved in youth work, the media team, and various evangelistic events of the local church. This time was necessary to prepare and equip him, helping him make the decision to shift his career from architecture to serving in ministry full-time, feeling that God had other plans, and calling him to build His church—both physically and spiritually. So, his passions for sports, visual arts, and his desire to share about Christ came together; henow serves full-time with the national Edge media team.
Currently, Alex serves in Medgidia as a coach, mentor, disciple-maker, and friend to the boys on Edge teams, with the dream of establishing a media ministry for an Edge Romania network.
